Crowns & bridges

At Refresh Dental Care we now offer crowns in one visit, while you wait.

Crowns are one of the most versatile restorative solutions. A crown is sometimes referred to as a cap as it is placed over a carefully prepared tooth to restore strength, appearance and function.

A crown may be placed on a tooth that has undergone root canal therapy or where a large portion of the tooth has been removed. Treatment to repair a broken tooth may require a crown, as too a tooth that has lost a large filling or a heavily filled tooth to prevent it from breaking. When secured to teeth on either side of a space, crowns become the structural supports for a bridge. And when replacing a single missing tooth, a crown is the final restoration placed on a dental implant.

A bridge is a popular and effective replacement solution for missing teeth that can rejuvenate your smile and restore your oral health. A bridge consists of one or more false teeth, which are secured to natural teeth on either side of the space by crowns.
A bridge may also be secured by dental implants.
The procedure for a bridge is very similar to that for a crown.
Crowns and bridges require the same care as natural teeth.
