COVID-19 PROTOCOL

Important, please read before attending the practice!

We are still open and currently providing all of our dental services in accordance with the Level 1 Guidelines from the Australian Dental Association, for more information visit the ADA's website here.

We will continue to screen all patients and visitors entering the practice and are unable to treat anyone who has symptoms relating to COVID-19, anyone who visited any COVID-19 case locations within the past 14 days, this also applies to anyone who has been in either close or casual contact with a person who has tested positive to COVID-19 in the past 14 days or have been asked to self-isolate by a health official.

 

If you have an upcoming appointment, we ask that you call us to reschedule if:

1. You are feeling unwell and have any cold or flu-like symptoms including:

Fever, sore throat, cough, shortness of breath, runny nose, loss of taste or smell.

2. You have been in close or casual contact with anyone diagnosed with COVID-19 in the last 14 days or have been asked to self-isolate by a health official.

3. You have travelled overseas in the last 14 days.

4. You have been at a place of high concern (close or casual contact venue) in NSW, QLD or VIC, or you have visited any of the current case locations. These are changing rapidly and we ask that you keep yourself updated through the NSW Government's website of current case locations, you can find it here.

Additionally, we ask that you adhere to the following protocol, which is in line with the NSW Health guidelines for COVID-19 to minimise the risk of transmission:

  • Only patients who have answered no to the above 4 questions can enter the practice.

  • We ask that you stay in your vehicle until we call you. This is to avoid the congregation of patients in the waiting area.

  • Only those attending an appointment will be allowed to enter the practice, unless you are attending with a child under 16 years of age.

  • All patients and visitors must check in using the QR code before entering the practice.

  • All patients and visitors must have their temperature taken upon entry and  if above 37.5 degrees will be asked to reschedule their appointment.

  • Masks are mandatory and must be worn by all persons entering the practice, until we advise they can be removed in the treatment rooms.

  • Sanitise your hands promptly upon entry.

  • All patients will be required to mouth wash with a Peroxyl rinse for 30 seconds prior to any treatment.

 

All staff have undertaken infection control training specific to COVID-19 to make sure all safety precautions necessary are in place, Refresh Dental Care is a COVID SAFE practice.

These practices are designed to protect both yourself and our team, and while inconvenient we greatly appreciate your understanding and cooperation during this difficult time.
